About Us

Back in 1985 Jim Sr. decided to build a custom golf cart for his father-in-law, Jim Jennings, so he could enjoy the campground that he visited frequently. What started as a nice gesture to a man he admired turned into a trend that is still going strong today. After his father-in-law passed away in 1989 Jim Sr. built a custom golf cart for his mother-in-law Lois, complete with a Cadillac hood ornament and pin striping to match her car. In 1996 Jim Sr. along with his wife Jackie built their beautiful home and shop that they worked out of till September 2012.

As word spread through the campground, friends and neighbors started coming to Jim Sr. for help in fixing their golf carts and to see if he would build a custom cart for them.

"One day we came home to find a couple of golf carts with little notes fix me please and a phone number" said Jackie.

In 2001 Jim Sr. and Jackie decided to make it a business. Over the years the business grew to a point that in 2005 Jim Sr. needed some help and recruited his son Jim Jr. In the spring of 2012 they expanded again by adding their daughter Jamie to help in the office and the addition of their new building at 2201 E. Vincent.

Many of the custom carts come equipped with custom features such as: built in radios, custom speaker boxes, and custom tail lights. Jim's Carts and Parts is a family run business with Jim Sr. in sales and service, his wife Jackie in bookkeeping, their son Jim Jr. in sales.

We have built a second building to expand our Business! The Showroom has also recently been remodeled and expanded.
